Created a mobile-first platform, targeting Broadway Show enthusiasts, that provided an insider’s guide to the best ticket sources and prices for all Broadway shows, including the hard to get. Each of the productions was screened and reviewed by writer and lyricist RC Staab.

Created the first database application for US shelters to self-report animal data. This was the first application of its kind and quickly grew to include over 7,000 participating organizations. It allowed authenticated users, from the respective organizations, to  enter or import monthly data (approximately 130 data points), run reports, manage accounts, engage with predefined data visualizations of their organizations data and more.

Built a database application for recruiting, collecting and reporting cat data from the largest municipal and private animal shelters in the US, US Territories and Canada. The platform served as a marketing acquisition and conversion tool as well as the environment where participating organizations / challengers submit their data. There were approximately 2,000 participating organizations for the campaign that ran from 2014 through 2022. The program goal of saving one million lives in a 5 year timeframe was achieved after only 2 years. This encouraged its funders to extend the program that to date saved 3.5 million lives.

Created a network building tool that allowed permission-based collaboration and sharing of data between coalitions and shelters. It allowed for custom reporting where data could be aggregated, filtered and compared across all opted-in members.  Coalition membership size ranged from a few dozen to a few thousand organizations members and was primarily utilized by the industry national organizations and foundations funding efforts in the Animal Welfare space (ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, Bissell Foundation, Maddie’s fund, etc.). Shelter data for this application flowed from the Data Portal environment.

Built a web platform around the insight that takeout is the most profitable restaurant transaction, which allows the location to scale revenue without increasing its seating capacity, and that 90% plus of takeout orders are placed from a mobile device while people are on the move. The site was built as mobile-first experience with a dynamic menuing system that included nutritional and allergen sensitivity information, so the restaurant can also cater to those with dietary restrictions.

Challenger One | Fact or Faux Challenge

The Challenger One platform - currently themed "Fact or Faux Challenge" - is an acquisition and engagement tool that gamifies simple, quiz-like questionnaires, surveys and polls, turning them into fun, gameshow-like trivia challenges (i.e. triviafication). Challengers (participants) answer ten questions, provide a little information and then get presented their score and rating. From their score sheet, participants have the opportunity to view data visualizations that aggregate all challenger scores, so they can see how they stack up. From this same view, challengers can "enter to win" a prize and share their score on social media. Best Friends leveraged this platform for a data literacy campaign in 2021, fielding three challenges over a period of 5 months.
